International Students ONLY

Willis College of Business, Technology, Healthcare is authorized by Citizenship and Immigration Canada to accept and enroll international students.

In order to get a study permit, if you do not already have one, international applicants MUST first obtain a letter of acceptance from Willis College before applying through Canadian Immigration. International applicants must follow each step carefully to gain admittance. Please read through the steps below for international admission information.

Please note: the following steps are how to get a study permit, if you already have a study permit and are in Canada, please email international@williscollege.com for information on how to apply.

Steps to Apply for a Program:

Step 1: Research which program you would like to take at Willis College. Click here for program information.

Step 2: Send ALL required admission documents to the campus of your choice. Please note, Willis College will only start processing applications when ALL required documents are received. Please send all required documents in one email or fax, and not separately. Required documents include:

a) The INTERNATIONAL STUDENT REGISTRATION FORM. Complete this form and email or fax form to the Willis College campus of your choice (locations listed below).

b) Copy of valid passport photo

c) Academic transcripts and assessment of transcripts (High School, College, University or Technical School Diploma). If Academic transcripts are from outside Canada, International students MUST get transcripts evaluated by a third party credential evaluation service provider, recommended evaluators include, but are not limited to:

Comparative Education Service – University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies

International Credential Assessment Service of Canada

World Education Services 

Once evaluated, this assessment must be sent to Willis College as part of the admission requirements.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are already in Canada, you may alternatively take the entrance admissions test at any Willis College location. If passed, foreign transcript assessment is not needed.

d) Language assessment. For students who were educated in a country where English is NOT the official language of study, you must meet ONE of the following language criteria:

Students must submit valid and official test results from TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS or Cambridge 
or any other widely accepted language testing authority with the minimum score of:

  • TOEFL: 500 PBT, 185 CBT, 74-76 iBT
  • TOEIC: 775
  • IELTS: An overall score of 5.0
  • Cambridge: CAE or CPC band of 5.5

OR successful completion of CLB level Nine of an approved ESL program

OR successful completion of an accredited language school, international school year or 
foundations year pathways program

PLEASE NOTE: If you are already in Canada, you may alternatively take the entrance admissions test at any Willis College location. If passed, the language assessment is not needed.

e) Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) and/or Study Permit (depending on your country), if applicable. If you already have a study visa for Canada, please provide a copy of the original. If not, you will need a letter of acceptance from Willis College first before applying to Canadian Immigration.

Step 3: Once ALL required  documents have been sent to Willis College, please allow 2-3 weeks of processing time. A Willis College representative will then contact you with how to proceed with your application.

Step 4: Once all admission requirements have been met, Willis College will then issue you a letter of acceptance.

Step 5: Apply for a Study Permit through Canadian Immigration using your letter of acceptance.

Step 6: Once you get approved for a study permit, send a copy of you permit to Willis College.

Step 7: Let Willis College know of your travel arrangements and when you are arriving to Canada.

Step 8: Once in Canada, Willis College can enroll you in the program and you begin studying!
