Potential full-time employment at your student placement LTC facility

  • Online learning four days a week from 8am to 1pm (20 hours per week).
  • One day a week of practical experience in a designated facility (up to 8 hours per week). 
  • Some occasional in-class learning (i.e. First Aid and CPR workshop). 
  • An 8-week full-time learning placement at the LTC facility (40 hours per week).

A 30-Week Program Consisting of:

*Some student groups may have courses or practical work on Saturdays and Sundays

Students are guaranteed practicum placements in an assisted care work environment. Students must have access to a computer and transportation. All students will need to meet the admissions requirements for the program. The theory portion of the program will be delivered 100% online with hands-on learning at the assigned practicum placements.

Willis College Scholarship Program

As the Province of Ontario continues to support PSW training, Willis College is accepting new students into the Personal Support Worker Program starting summer 2021. The scholarship program will provide free training (tuition and books) to students along with a paid practicum.

The first program will start in Summer 2021 with additional starts throughout the fall.
