Willis College is proud to now offer three distinct artificial intelligence programs designed to equip students with the skills necessary to thrive in this dynamic field and stand out as professionals who have adapted to this new way of problem-solving in an increasingly data-driven world.

In June of 2024, we hosted a webinar where Anthony Aighobahi, an instructor in the new Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, and Data Analytics & Artificial Intelligence programs gave our audience an in-depth presentation outlining the courses and career opportunities for soon-to-be students.

Willis College’s AI programs are structured like nested dolls, offering varying levels of depth and specialization. The shortest program, Data Analyst, spans 26 weeks and includes an 8-week practicum. This program is ideal for those looking to dive into data organizing, trend analysis, and database management using tools like Excel and SQL. Students will graduate with the essential skills required: a solid foundation in computer basics, including hardware, operating systems, and introductory programming in Python and SQL.

Business Intelligence Analyst, extends over 46 weeks and introduces more advanced topics such as Python data wrangling, advanced SQL, and the fundamentals of AI. Students will learn to create visual stories and dashboards, conduct data wrangling, and implement AI concepts like chatbots for customer service.

The most comprehensive program, the Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence course, lasts 74 weeks. It covers everything from the previous programs and delves into advanced AI topics such as natural language processing, image processing, and machine learning. Students will engage in numerous projects, applying their skills to real-world scenarios in marketing, sales, finance, and operations.

According to Anthony, the importance of data analysis skills across various sectors, including finance, sales, marketing, healthcare, and cybersecurity. For instance, data analysts can help finance professionals plan budgets and analyze investments, while business intelligence analysts can work in retail to monitor sales and inventory. AI specialists are crucial in cybersecurity, helping to predict and mitigate cyber-attacks.
