Are you a laid-off worker looking to get skills and training for in-demand occupations in Ontario?

Then the Second Career program may be right for you.

What is the Second Career program?

The Second Career Program is a Government of Ontario initiative to help laid-off workers. The goal of the program is to help laid-off workers gain the skills they need to find employment throughout Ontario in high-demand careers.  Grants of up to $28,000 are available!

Second Career may cover a variety of expenses such as:

  • Tuition
  • Books
  • Transportation
  • Basic living allowance

Additional support may be available to accommodate the needs of people with disabilities, dependent care, costs of living away from home and academic upgrading.

Second Career is a need-based grant. Anyone who qualifies may be required to contribute to their education
